There’s a ton of things to do in Palworld, and if you want to set yourself up for success, you’ll need to know all the best things you can do and get early on, from the best Pals and equipment, to the best places to set up your first couple of bases. In this Palworld guide, we’ll be showing you some of the best tips and tricks we know on how to get the best possible start in the game.
Complete the Base Building Tutorial
As soon as you start a fresh character, you’ll be given a set of tasks that ultimately leads to the creation of your first base. This is pretty simple, and it’s not exactly the most interesting of things to do, but completing this tutorial is important for the following reasons:
- You’ll end up with a functioning base with all the basic amenities you need for smooth progression.
- Doing the tasks will net you enough XP to unlock a couple of the more important blueprints we need later on.
The tutorial will teach you almost all the basic stuff you need to know about Palworld. You don’t have to complete all of it, though. Just keep following the tutorial until you’re comfortable with how your base is looking. After that, we can start working toward more important things.
By the end of the tutorial, you should have basic tools, armor, and an energy shield. Make sure you’re always upgrading these as soon as you can.
Catch an Eikthyrdeer and Foxparks
If you go west of the starting area in Palworld, you’ll find Eikthyrdeers and Foxparkses roaming around the fields. These are arguably the two best Pals you can get in the very early stages of the game for the following reasons:
- Eikthyrdeers are excellent woodcutters. As long as you have a few of these guys in your base, you’ll never have to cut another tree down again.
- Foxparkses can fire up your campfires and furnaces, allowing for automated cooking and smelting.
- You can craft saddles for both of these pals. With the right saddles in your inventory, Eikthyrdeers can be used as combat-capable mounts, while Foxparkses can be used as handheld flamethrowers that vastly outperform the crude weapons you can craft early on (though this has a 100-second cooldown).
Once you get saddles for these two Pals, you won’t have to bother with using weapons when combat is involved. However, Eikthyrdeer attacks are pretty strong against enemies in the first few zones, so if you want to catch more Pals without accidentally killing them, equip a Ring of Mercy (you can research the blueprint for this in the tech tree using Ancient Technology Points).
You should be fighting as many bosses as you can during the early game to get more Ancient Technology Points. This includes tower bosses, world bosses, and human bounty targets.
Get a Daedream
Normally, you can only summon one of the Pals in your party to assist you in combat or exploration. This rule doesn’t apply to Daedreams — as long as you have one in your party, they’ll hover around you and launch follow-up attacks whenever you hit targets. They’re great for the early stages of Palworld because their attacks are much stronger than yours (assuming you only have primitive/basic gear equipped).
You can find Daedreams throughout the hills of the starting zone, but only during the night. They can sometimes be found inside dungeons as well, regardless of the time of day.
Make a Grappling Hook ASAP
Eikthyrdeer mounts are great for traveling across the open world, but they can’t fly or climb walls. I strongly recommend crafting a Grappling Hook as soon as you can to make climbing cliffs less of a hassle. You can unlock the recipe for it in the tech tree once you reach level 12, but you’ll need to spend Ancient Technology Points for it.
You can make vertical traversal even easier by catching a Croajiro. They can use the Leap Stance ability to catapult you high into the air.
Set Up a Mining Camp
If you go to the indicated spot on the map above, you’ll find a small with multiple copper ore nodes. This is the perfect place to build a second base early in Palworld, as you can use it as a dedicated mining and smelting camp for producing Ingots.
In order to build a second base, you need to upgrade your Base Level until the maximum base limit rises from 1 to 2, so make sure not to neglect base building.
Once you’ve found the mining spot, build another Palbox nearby, then place a chest or two where you can store all the Ores you’ve mined. If you want to turn this place into an automated mining operation, you’ll need Pals with a level 2 Mining skill.
How to Get Incinerams Early
Speaking of Pals for mining, the best ones you can get early on are Incinerams. They’re normally found on the high-level volcanic island to the far west, but you can find low-level ones near the WIndswept Island Watchtower, as marked on the map above. You’ll find a couple of Syndicate goons near this watchtower; one of them will summon a Leezpunk, and the other will summon an Incineram. Wait for the Incineram to come out, then chuck a Palsphere at it until you capture it.
Incinerams are perfect for mining camps. Not only can they mine ore nodes, but they can also operate furnaces and perform Handiwork tasks. Pair them with Pals that can grow food, and you’ll have all the essentials for an autonomous mining outpost. Don’t forget to build Hot Springs for your Pals so they don’t go insane.
Build an Egg Incubator
Egg Incubators will let you hatch Pal eggs that you find in the world, and by doing so, you can end up getting Pals that you otherwise won’t see until much later in the game. In my playthrough, I was lucky enough to get a Tarantriss very early, and I’ve never had any problems with land traversal since then.
The types of Pals you get through incubation are completely random. You can narrow down the kinds of Pals you can hatch by picking the right eggs, but the result is still going to be random. This tip isn’t as important as the others, but it’s just as impactful for giving you the best start in Palworld.
Get a Flying Mount
If you’d rather travel using a flying mount, try finding and catching a Nitewing. These Pals spawn to the west of the starting hills, around the Sealed Realm of the Ardent fast travel point that’s just beyond the Small Settlement.
Nitewings appear during the morning, as ironic as that sounds, and before you can use them as mounts, you’ll first need to research the Nitewing Saddle in the tech tree, which becomes available once you hit level 15.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
