Part of the Kowakujo main easter egg revolves around finding three accomplices who could be involved in the Shogun’s murder. As such, you’ll need to acquire the specific items to lure out the Gardener, Merchant, and Noble, and it all starts with a Coin Purse. Below, we’ll show you a step-by-step process for finding every item you need to complete this lengthy step of the easter egg.
Kowakujo Easter Egg Walkthrough in Black Ops 7 Zombies
This is the complete guide to Kowakujo’s main quest easter egg in Black Ops 7 Zombies with the steps you need to reach the final cutscene!
If you can’t find any of the items mentioned below, make sure you’re following the steps in the guide above for the full Kowakujo easter egg!
How to Get the Coin Purse in Kowakujo
To start, you’re going to need a central piece of evidence: the Coin Purse. In order to get the Coin Purse, you will need to look at all Mystery Box spawns on Kowakujo until you find one that has a wooden tag next to it (pictured above for reference).
When you’ve found the spawn with the tag, you’ll need the Mystery Box to be at that specific location. This can be done either by spinning the Mystery Box until Mr Peeks teleports it here, or through a Fire Sale Power-Up (which you can force to spawn with Immolation Liquidation).
You’re now going to want to throw the Maneki-Neko Tactical Equipment, which you crafted in the earlier steps, for the easter egg. (You can get one from the workbench by Vulture Aid for 500 Salvage). As soon as you’ve thrown the Maneki-Neko at the box, open it for 950 Essence, and quickly interact with the tag. This will cause the Mystery Box to give you the Coin Purse instead of a weapon.
With the Coin Purse acquired, head back to spawn (Outer Ward), and you can stand near the Rampage Inducer to spawn a spectral coin purse. Once you interact with the ghostly coin purse, a cutscene plays, and you can begin the next steps.
How to Find the Gardener in Kowakujo
To summon the Gardener, you’ll need to grab the Bucket, which is found on a shelf in the Tea Garden. Pick up the bucket and then look to your left to find a small pond. Interacting with it fills the Bucket with water. However, if you run, jump, or take damage, you will spill the water.
You need to take the filled Bucket to the Flower Garden. There are three specific spots that you can interact with on the ground to grow flowers, which are shown above, but here are their descriptive locations:
- By a stone just in front of the Armor Wall-Buy.
- In front of the Ammo Box on the edge of the stone path.
- In front of the Ghostly Riflemen Trap, by the flower bed, by the red bridge.
Once all three spots have been watered (you’ll know it’s done because the dirt patch you interacted with will have an animation), you will spawn the Gardener. Now, you just need to kill him. To kill the Gardener, shoot one of the three grown and glowing plants to remove his immunity, then shoot him dead.
The Gardener drops the Gardener’s Note and the Gardener’s Shears, and the Shears are the main item you must collect for the accomplice evidence.
How to Find the Merchant in Kowakujo
For the Merchant, you’re going to want to head into the Kitchens. Opposite the Arsenal, you will find a shelf with a box of fruit. You need to melee the box of fruit to cause one of them to drop on the floor. Now, leave the area and start a fresh round, and return to this location at the end of the round when you have fewer zombies.
You’ll find a zombie here that has the fruit in its mouth, and you will now need to lure it towards the Staging Area. Once the zombie with the fruit in its mouth is in front of the north building in the Staging Area, you can kill it, which will cause the Merchant to spawn.
There’s no gimmick to worry about with the Merchant, as you just need to kill him as a typical zombie. However, he does have a large health pool, so you might want to bring some ammo.
Killing the Merchant drops the Mercantile Abacus, which is the accomplice evidence you’ll need!
How to Find the Noble in Kowakujo
For the Noble, you’re going to need three Decoy Grenades. You can get these for free after the Ghostly Riflemen Trap finishes, or you can get them from any Crafting Table. Once obtained, head to the Training Area and look up at the east building.
You need to throw a Decoy Grenade on each of the three windows, and doing so quickly enough will see these windows open, and the Noble will wake up inside and start throwing grenades at you.
When the Noble throws a grenade, you need to pick it up, cook it, and throw it back at him before it explodes so you can hit the Noble with it. The Noble will run between the three windows, so make sure you time your throw so that the explosion catches him, and after around 3 grenade throws, he should die.
When the Noble dies, he will drop the Noble’s Hat, which is the last piece of evidence you need. Make sure you take each of these items to the Meditation Room to place down the evidence so you can unlock the next step!
Once you have all the pieces of evidence, you can solve the murder mystery! You can use our guide to make the solution easier for you.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
